Hi. My name is Don Whitaker. Welcome to my virtual studio.  This website is where I showcase my creative projects. I'm currently obsessed with 3D printing, laser cutting, board games, tabletop miniatures. Right now, most of what I make is a mashup of those 4 themes.  In previous years it might have web design, cooking, video editing, skateboarding, nature videos, fractal animations, video game development, or VR.  I'm happiest when I'm exploring the intersection of art and tech. 

I'm always making something with my computer - pretty much daily since the 1980s.  These days many of those things end up in the real world via my 3D printers or laser cutter. I especially enjoy creating strange new plants and terrain to print and paint.  Plants that look like they could exist...somewhere.  Terrain based on fractal maths - detailed organic shapes, plucked from the fractal multiverse. 

I'm also using this site to build a small business that doesn't rely on Etsy or My Mini Factory. I didn't like using either of those services so I'm pulling everything back into my own website. It's fun seeing all of my creations come together in one place. I'm still working on adding older projects, but my 3D printable stuff is here and ready for downloading. Most of my designs are available for Free or Pay What You Want, so it's easy to give 'em a try before you decide if you want to support my efforts.
